Applications for Reception

Applications for entry to our Reception class for September 2017 opened on 1st September, 2016.

The school's Published Admission Number (PAN) for September 2017 will be 21.

By law a child does not have to start school until the term following their fifth birthday.  However, most children start school in the September following their fourth birthday.

If your child was born between 1st September 2012 and 31st August 2013 they are due to start school in September 2017 and you will need to apply for a school place by noon on 15th January 2017.  All children will be offered a full time place but, if you would prefer your child to attend part-time or to delay entry until later on in the academic year please contact the school directly to arrange this.  All admissions are administered by the Local Authority.

You can apply by completing an application online or by completing a common paper application form.  Paper application forms are also available from the School Office.

On 18th April 2017 letters will be despatched to all parents who submitted a paper application form by the January deadline, offering a place at one school.  If you have been refused a place at your preferred school you can appeal.  Appeals will be heard late June/early July.  If you applied online you will be able to log back on to the online system on national offer day to view the outcome of your application.  You will require your username and password which was created at the time of the application.  You will also receive confirmation of the offer by letter.  3rd May is the deadline for parents to accept the place they have been offered.  If you do not respond by this date Wiltshire Council will assume that you do not want the place and it will be offered to another applicant.  20th May - any spare places which have become available after 18th April will be offered.

Applications received after the January deadline will be considered after the first round and this means that the outcome of your application will not be determined until late June 2017 at the earliest.

Applications for all other year groups

If you wish to apply for a place in any year group other than Reception please contact the School Office initially to see if any places are available.  If they are, we would be pleased to arrange a visit and you will then need to complete a separate admission application form through the Local Authority.  There is no deadline for these applications.  They are processed throughout the year by the Local Authority in the order in which they are received.
